Chesa says it’s not suitable for a lawyer, but “I’m speechless” by the celebrative supporters. A few supporters brought their pet dog, and the pets were cheering in support as well.

Chesa just returned from New York with his mother, Kathy, and wife, Valerie. They visited Chesa’s incarcerated biological father.

Chesa said, “We’re tired of the plague and wrongful convictions. The justice system should serve everyone and not just the well connected. Today’s victory shows the desperation of San Franciscans wanting a change through their votes. We need a drastically different system that we can call “just”! No more letting juveniles get charged like adult crimes. Let’s remove the three-strikes-then-life punishment system. We also need to save the victims who are not covered in the media… The United States leads the world in locking people up, and we’ll lead the release of that starting from San Francisco.”
